Security - Granting Access Permissions (NEW)

1. INTRODUCTION

The access permissions configuration screen is essential to ensure data security and privacy, allowing only users with the privilege to grant and revoke access to assign customized access levels to each system role, restricting specific areas or functionalities. This flexibility provides efficient management of privileges, protecting confidential information, mitigating risks and maintaining system integrity.

2. Old Access Configuration Screen

2.1 If you are using the old "Granting Access Permissions" screen, follow the documentation in the link below:

3. ACCESS CONFIGURATION

3.1 Access the "Access Control" screen using the following path: Settings → Security → Access Control

3.2 This screen will list all the permissions that have been granted to the Roles

To configure access permissions for a role, click "Edit".

3.3 A new window will appear. Choose the role for which you want to configure access permissions.

3.4 The system will then redirect the user to a new screen where it is possible to define the permissions for the selected function.

3.5 When you run a filter, the screen will only show the group or resource that contains the searched text by highlighting it.

To show all available resources, simply clear the filter. You can also navigate between the different resource groups using the side menu.

3.6 Define the accesses that the selected role will have for each resource and after completing the access definition, click save and a confirmation dialog will be displayed.

3.7 This dialog contains a summary of the permissions that were modified (granted or revoked).

3.8 After confirmation, permissions for the resources will be granted/revoked and the system will redirect the user to the main listing screen.

  • Access: Define whether the selected role will have access to the resource routine.

  • Create: Define whether the selected role will be allowed to create records in the resource routine.

  • Modify: Define whether the selected role will be allowed to change existing records in the resource routine.

  • Delete: Define whether the selected role will be allowed to delete existing records in the resource routine.

  • Execute: Define whether the informed role will be allowed to execute the resource routine.

4. EDITING PERMISSIONS

4.1 To edit the permissions of a resource that have been granted to a specific role, simply double-click on the desired permission, which will open a window for editing it

4.2 Then change whatever is necessary and click "Save" to finish the procedure.

5. REVOKE ALL PERMISSIONS ON A RESOURCE

5.1 To revoke all permissions on a resource that a given role has, select the desired permissions and click "Revoke" to finish.
